limsane shopping update

If you’re following along, you know I’m doing my best to be better at budgeting and not spend frivolously but that I also recently justified a major 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target splurge in the name of a good “social experiment.”

That midnight shopping made me a little crazy and I bought all of this…

And promised myself some of it would go back. So here’s what’s staying and what’s going.

Keep Pile

  • Black geometric dress — I gushed over the bags before I got them but I think this is actually my favorite piece of them all. It fits like a glove, looks super chic and is only slightly out of place in Colorado.
  • Floral peplum top — I couldn’t help but keep a piece in one of Lim’s signature prints. It may not get much wear during the fall/winter but definitely think I’ll bust it out again come spring.
  • Black carryall — looks like real leather and it’s big enough to carry a laptop; it’s sure to be my new work & travel go-to bag.
  • Purple gusset tote — while I don’t love this as much as the black one, it’s still a great, structured tote {again that’s big enough for a laptop} in a fun color.

Go Pile

  • Navy sequin dress — I love that the fitted part of the back was all sequins, but the cross-over V-neck on the front felt too high for me. I’m selling my size 2 over here if you’d like to check it out {but yikes, ignore our very old comforter in that pic!}
  • Color blocked peplum top — I like this one, but thought it might be hard to pair with other things. Plus, I had to limit myself some how!
  • Black & white dress — this one was just too big, so if you’re thinking of ordering it {or bidding on it on eBay}, order a size down.

I also have a taupe gusset tote for sale here if you’d like to bid on that, as well.

Did you get anything from the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target line? More importantly, did you end up returning anything {or reselling it somewhere}?
