So tell me, how was your weekend? Mine was more like a mini-vacation because some of our dear friends arrived on Thursday and I got to play hooky with them!
First, we visited Georgetown, Colorado and stumbled upon the cutest electric stove EVER.
We also made a visit to the Chihuly blown glass exhibit at the Denver Botanical Gardens. I was surprised to see the glass sculptures were placed among the plants and flowers and the effect of art + nature combined was beautiful!
And of course, I found the succulents!
On Saturday, a group of friends had arranged to take a “party bus” to Fort Collins to tour some of the breweries there. The party bus turned out to be a school bus painted black and decked out in snakeskin seats and lucite detailing. So swanky!
The New Belgium brewery is truly a must-see for anyone visiting Colorado. It’s well-worth the hour-plus drive to Fort Collins, but the tours are booked a month out. I think nearly every person must leave the tour wanting to work there — it’s a fully employee-owned, ESOP company with a 97% retention rate. Plus, they make beer for a living!
To cap off a wonderful weekend, I also found out my older sister eloped, which means I officially have a BROTHER for the first time ever. How fun! So SO happy for these two!

You may remember Tara’s beautiful work from this wedding I showcased — which just so happens to feature the very same friends who visited this weekend. And there you have it, the weekend came full circle!
