Mini Fall Home Tour // 2014

As I said in Friday’s post, this has possibly been my favorite fall of all time. While I haven’t shared all the details here on the blog, we’ve been dealing with some unexpected and unfortunate events both at home and at work so you wouldn’t think I’d be thriving. But, oddly enough, I feel I am. Maybe something about blossoming during adversity?

Either way, I can’t thank each of you enough for the time you take to stop by and read what I’ve got to say and share. It’s given me so much motivation, creative energy, and inspiration to commit to blogging so I sure hope you are finding some enjoyment in it, too!

And, since it’s Monday, I figured a little eye candy might be fun – what do you think? Do you want to take a peak into our home and see how we’re celebrating fall? I thought so…

DIY Spray Painted Pumpkins in Gold and White

On an impulse, I bought a set of 8 mini pumpkins at Home Depot. They sat around looking quite orange for awhile and I finally decided to jazz them up. All you need for this simple DIY is a bit of spray paint, some painters tape { if you want to keep the stems natural }, and some sparkly add-ons. I used glitter stickers from Michael’s and my new favorite Gold Leafing pens!

I left one pumpkin just pure gold because I couldn’t get enough of the Rustoleum spray paint color! Just look at how it shines! Wowzah! Which one is your favorite?

Fall Decor for your front porch // bubbly design co.I spruced things up on our covered front porch, too. I found a clearance lantern in the summer section at Home Depot and made it work for fall by adding a $3 glitter pumpkin from the Target dollar spot. A thrifted crate and watering can bring in a little rustic feel, which I love. Somehow rustic = fall to me. You too?

Pssst – if that bench looks a little bare to you, you’re not alone. Stop by Wednesday to see how I decked out that bad boy!

Fall Home Tour // BubblyDesignCo.Mini Fall Home Tour // Bubbly Design Co.Our kitchen table gets used actively and for several purposes, so our centerpiece display needed to be something pretty simple to shift around or remove altogether, if necessary. I nabbed this vintage, whitewashed toolbox at a thrift store for about $10 and knew it could do the trick. I simply filled it some Spanish moss and fall accents. I really love how the spools { found in the dollar section at Michael’s } bring in the same vintage vibe as the crate outside.

My favorite accent by far is this blue bottle filled with brilliant orange leaves. I wish I could say I found those in my yard, but they were from the grocery store. I love how the cobalt and orange pair together, though and it’s a nice pop of color against fall’s grays and browns.
