Love // Lust // Must – Vol. 4 { Valentine’s Day Outfits }

I have a confession to make. I’ve never been really big into Valentine’s Day – I don’t go all-out with decorations or crafts, T-man and I don’t typically do extravagant gifts, and I hardly even send Valentine’s Day cards to friends and family { which, now that I’m thinking of it, is a perfect excuse to send adorable snail mail! I’m missing out! }.

Even though I’m not a huge fan of this holiday, it’s exciting that it falls on a Saturday this year! I absolutely love when holidays — and especially my birthday — fall on a weekend! That is seriously one life’s greatest pleasures.

So this year — even though we haven’t planned anything yet — I can totally envision getting dolled up for a date night on Saturday. Pinks and reds aren’t my typical colors of choice, but if you’re ever going to rock them, this is the day!

Valentine's Day dress ideas at every price point and every color -- red, pink, or floral Valentine's outfits // Love - Lust - Must by Bubbly Design Co.

classic red
The dress T-Swizzle wore at the CMA’s is probably a little over-the-top for real life dates, but you can never go wrong with a bold statement of red. It’s absolutely frigid in many parts of the country, but pairing one of these strapless red numbers with sheer black tights would easily warm things up — or why not dress up, but then stay in and cook together! If you go out, I love this tip from Amanda to wear a warm cardigan under your coat while in transit to your date. Just slip it off with your coat and check it at dinner!

pretty in pink
I totally die over the fun patterned wrap dress from DVF, but I think I’d only indulge in a lust-worthy DVF wrap dress if it was in a color I could see myself wearing over and over — maybe black or purple. But hey, if pink is your thing, this baby is on major sale so grab it!

This is a trend you’re seeing everywhere these days from shoes to bags and plenty more! It’s pretty over-the-top girly, which is perfect for Valentine’s Day! My favorite budget-friendly option from ASOS sold out before I could share the link with you, but there are plenty of other options out there. If nothing else, I’ll be adding a floral skirt or scarf to my spring collection.

Since it’s also highly likely that we’ll end up zonked on the couch around 7pm after a day of skiing on Saturday, let me live vicariously through your plans and your fashion choices! Tell me, what do you have planned for your Saturday night Valentine’s Day?
