Wardrobe Upgrades for Fall

Shopping is an art. Fall Wardrobe Upgrades by Bubbly Design Co.{via}

I stopped dead in my tracks and laughed out loud when I saw this on Instagram. I also promptly shared it with several members of my family who know me for the true shopaholic I am. But I figured this is a safe place and you guys wouldn’t judge me for my shopping habits, right? Riiiight?!

Black Friday deals are starting to pop up, so I know we should all be thinking about gifts for family and friends. But on top of that, we’re also prepping for holiday events and the impending colder and colder weather. So it’s hard NOT to think a little about our own closets during this key gift period. Am I right?

Lately, I’ve been trying to narrow in on a list of key pieces for my fall wardrobe that would make getting dressed each morning easier.  For me that means upgrading a few pieces to ones that fit flawlessly and are incredibly versatile with pieces I already own and love.

Some pieces, like the strappy velvet shoes or the lace bow blouse, are a little trendier but still versatile during the holiday season and beyond. You also can’t go wrong with an up-to-the-moment LBD complete with bell sleeves. Darling! Sticking with the 70’s trend, these flared jeans are on major sale! Ever since I tried them on during my Trunk Club visit, I’ve been thinking of a hundred ways I could style them without going too flower child.

A flat black bootie is truly a workhorse for your fall wardrobe. If you don’t have a pair, stop what you’re doing and go buy these. Seriously, I can’t believe I haven’t bought them yet. I’m a sucker for a classic piece with just an hint of flair like the lace-up back. I also connected with a Stella & Dot stylist recently {hi Caitlin!} and have my eye on a few pieces to help spice up tried & true outfits — this choker or these mix & match earrings are so great.

Although I have a stable of skirts in my closet, the moody floral print of this one is just too good. I discovered it on Liz’s instagram and can’t wait to see how she styles it. And not to leave the best for last, but isn’t everything better with a bow on it {like this sweater}?
